Battlecruiser Hiei was a warship of the Imperial Japanese Navy during World War I and World War II. Designed by British naval architect George Thurston, she was the second launched of four Kongō-classbattlecruisers, among the most heavily armed ships in any navy when built. Laid down in 1911 at the Yokosuka Naval Arsenal, Hiei was formally commissioned in 1914. She patrolled off the Chinese coast on several occasions during World War I, and helped with rescue efforts following the 1923 Great Kantō earthquake.



Τhe basic kit of Kajika battlecruiser Hiei, provide only plastic parts in very good quality, but lacking the important parts of ship model, the railings, and some more detailed parts, and for this reason Kajika released a set of photo ethed parts to supplement this deficiency.



The single photo etched fret contains 130 parts for all railings of the ship and included the railings for main deck and the smaller railings for upper decks., searchlight scaffolds, new starfish platforms for the main masts, cable reels, new inclined ladders, parts for the crane of the ship, sush as, cables, hooks and rollers, boat cradles, new shelter deck supports, and a detailed part for the captain's aft balcony.

This set contains all components you need for the IJN Hiei, is a useful addition to the basic kit and will havend a super detailed model.
